Constra helps families build and renovate their homes: budgets, expenses, contractors, site photos, daily progress and the handover. This page explains what Constra stores, why, who helps us run it, and what you can do about it.
What we store
- Your account: your email address, the name you give, and a profile photo and phone number if you add them.
- Your family’s projects: budgets, phases, expenses and bills, contractors and what was agreed and paid, labour and materials, tasks, daily site logs, and the photos, drawings and documents you upload.
- Contractor access: if your family invites a contractor, they see the projects and payments shared with them, and what they record is kept with the project.
- How the app is used: events such as “expense added” or “app installed”, linked to an account ID rather than your name or email. They never contain amounts, documents or photos.
- Notifications: if you turn them on, a push address for your device, so we can tell you about approvals and payments.
App lock (your PIN and Face ID or fingerprint) never leaves your phone. Constra only keeps a scrambled copy of the PIN on the device, and Face ID is checked by your phone itself.
Who can see it
Everything you add belongs to your family. Approved members of that family can see it, and contractors see only what is shared with them. A family admin approves who joins.
Services that help run Constra
- Supabase stores the database, sign-in and uploaded files, in Mumbai.
- Vercel hosts the app.
- Anthropic answers questions you ask the assistant and reads bills you scan or send by WhatsApp. Only the data needed for that question or bill is sent.
- PostHog receives the usage events described above.
- Resend delivers the sign-in code by email.
- Make and Bolna are used only if your family turns on automations, such as logging bills sent on WhatsApp or voice calls.
We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
Moving a home to Proma
When a build is finished, a family admin can move it to Proma, our app for running a property. Only when you confirm in Proma are the project’s details, photos, documents, contractor contacts, open tasks and build cost copied there. The project stays in Constra, read-only.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account any time in Settings → Account. That erases your name, email, phone and photo and closes your login. Records you added to a family stay with that family, shown as added by a former member, because the rest of the family relies on them.
To delete a whole family and everything in it, email getconstra@gmail.com from the email of the family’s owner.
Children
Constra is for adults managing a build. It isn’t meant for anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll say so in the app before it takes effect.
